Solid Waste

The Solid Waste Branch of the Environmental Services Department is responsible for Residential Waste Collection and Litter Control in the unincorporated parts of Lee County.

County residents will receive weekly collection of household waste by means of a 95-gallon collection cart serviced by Arrow Disposal Services Inc. and two (2) bulk waste pickups per month of acceptable items collected by the Lee County Environmental Services Staff.  The rules and regulations for bulk collection can be viewed by clicking the BULK RULES tab below.

Our Litter Control Program works to keep litter cleaned up on the rights of way and has approximately 800 miles of County maintained roads they work to keep clean.  In addition to this they also assist with the clean- up of illegal dump sites and site maintenance at the Department’s facilities.

Billing
The current fee for garbage service is $222 per year. While in the past this fee has been included with the Ad Valorem tax, recent procedural changes means it will now be billed by the Environmental Services Department

The fee will be split into four payments of $55.50  billed each quarter.  If a one-time annual payment is preferred, this can be paid with the October – December statement each year.
