Parks

The Parks Department maintains County parks in the Beauregard and Beulah communities, with plans for a park in Loachapoka.  The Department also provides support to the City of Smiths Station for a County park in the Smiths Station community.  It is our mission to provide safe and inclusive parks for the citizens of Lee County that allow for a variety of recreational activities while ensuring they are maintained to the highest standard.  Recreation Associations within each community, in partnership with the Parks Department, are responsible for providing and promoting youth activities that emphasize sportsmanship, leadership and encourage skill development.  The Lee County Parks Department is also responsible for enhancements to existing parks and sports complexes, as well as the planning and installation of future developments within the County's communities.
